Quick & Easy Rice Salad - our Price Breakdown

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Lets Bee Happy blog! 😊

I shared one of my favourite rice salad recipes in the last blog post with you. It is not only a super quick and easy recipe but also packed with protein thanks to the tuna and the eggs. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely check it out!

Why the price breakdown?

With food prices rising, I understand that some of you might try to find recipes that keep you full and satisfied without breaking the bank. This is why I want to break down the costs of this recipe for you.

Is this the cheapest option?

Before I get started, I just wanted to let you know that this is not the cheapest option to recreate this recipe. I base the price per portion on the ingredients that I bought, which are available in my local supermarket. I live in France and there is no Aldi or Lidl available (for people based in France, I do my food shopping at Carrefour).

Ingredients:

- Rice, 200g = 0,50€

- Tuna, 1 tin = 2,50€

- Eggs, 5 = 1,45€

- Cherry tomatoes, 100g = 0,45€

- Olives, approx. 50g = 0,35€

The total for all the ingredients is 5,25€, which equals 1,05€ per portion!
